Pe-Lyte Oral Elecrolytes Paste

Pe-Lyte contains five times the normal daily electrolytes. One tube helps replace electrolytes lost through sweating during competition or hot days. Replaces extra electrolytes lost from using Lasix. Pe-Lyte will replace tubing with electrolytes. Electrolyte depletion, both chronic and acute, can severely affect the ability of the equine athlete to compete. Horses that compete high speed/ short time can suffer from chronic electrolyte depletion. Muscle cells that are low in the necessary electrolytes such as K+, Ca++, Mg++ will not work properly. Moderate to heavy aerobic work in endurance horses or trail horses will cause a loss of about 22 liters of water over a 1-3 hour period, which in turn creates a loss of 252g of electrolytes. Horses who undergo the stress of gaming, showing and eventing suffer from sweat loss. The normal diet of a horse only provides about 210g of electrolytes. With a deficit of at least 40g, your performing horse needs electrolyte replacement.

INGREDIENTS:
150g of balanced eletrolytes plus 100g of molasses.

DIRECTIONS:
One tube administered 4-6 hrs before event and after they cool down.
